What is CORE Symposium?
CORE (Clinical Operations, Recruitment, and Engagement) is ProofPilot's biannual invite-only, half-day gathering for pharma and biotech leaders who are done with windowless ballrooms, exhibit floors, and sales pitches.
CORE ditches the standard playbook for an interactive format designed to produce real solutions and next steps, not polite applause.
And it all happens in a memorable venue with unexpected delights to shake up your perspective.
Who Attends CORE?
The CORE Symposium is tailored to clin ops leaders, particularly trial sponsors, committed to reimagining the clinical trial experience. Check out the companies who attended our Spring 2026 event in Boston.
Not just another industry conference.
Here's what makes CORE different from your standard clin ops event.
Actionable agenda, candid talk
CORE’s interactive, hands-on design is built for real learning and action, not inspiration. CORE is about intimate, unfiltered conversations about the reality of clinical operations.
Change of scenery with a fresh format
No windowless ballrooms. No booths. CORE breaks out of the norm to offer more connection, fresh energy, and openness to new and unexpected ideas.
Built for doers, not talkers
We’re not here to talk or fantasize about the future. CORE is for leaders who are looking to walk off the field with ready-to-use tactics they created with their own peers.
80+ leaders
every seat intentional
40+ companies
across pharma and biotech
0 booths & ballrooms
trade the ballroom for the ballpark
What we're talking about in Philadelphia
The September 2026 program zeroes in on the limitations, pain points, and downstream impacts of the models we use to forecast and track enrollment.
Philadelphia agenda highlights:
-
Hear from your peers on why forecasts break and what interventions actually work
-
Work alongside peers in a hands-on forecasting workshop to empower real progress for your own study team
-
Explore the tools improving forecasting accuracy and optimizing enrollment
-
Celebrate real change during the Change Agent Awards
From Algebra to Actionable: Rethinking Clinical Trial Enrollment Forecasting
Hear from leaders at Boehringer Ingelheim, Acadia Pharmaceuticals, and Veristat about why the traditional approach to enrollment forecasting—target divided by sites and months—is a naive formula that sets trials up to fail before FPI. This panel unpacks cycle times versus enrollment curves, where benchmarks help versus mislead, and how to diagnose risk early enough to know which interventions actually move the needle. Walk away with a sharper framework for evaluating your own forecasting practice and a clearer eye for what separates trials that hit their targets from those that don't.
Workshop: The Cost of Getting it Wrong (Exercises 1 & 2)
The first two exercises of CORE's hands-on enrollment forecasting and diagnostics workshop will focus on identifying the downstream effects of enrollment forecasting failures, and constructing a forecast from benchmark data.
Attendees will break out into teams and draw on real-world experience to collaborate and problem-solve during both exercises.
Workshop: The Cost of Getting it Wrong (Exercise 3)
In the final exercise, teams will diagnose an off-track enrollment scenario and recommend a corrective action plan.
